Homesteading on 10 by 20 ft of concrete

The Nomadic Wife has become more than just a place to share recipes from around the world, have some girl talk over lattes and share a few laughs about what is or isn't good for you to eat.

Yes, those will always remain integral parts of our mission. My mission. That is why I study nutrition, herbalism & health. But this isn't about me anymore, actually, it never was.

TNW has become about giving back in every way possible. If you didn't already know, the TNW Meal Plan that I put out every week for my clients, gives back 5% to a charity. We eat in season as much as possible. The food on our table will soon come from local farmers, as well as our own garden because we believe in supporting our community.

Given that last bit, I wanted to take a second to introduce to your our newest project. The Nomadic Homestead.

No, it probably won't have its own website, for now. It may not even get a fancy Facebook page of its own, but it doesn't make it any less real. We've decided to give it a life of its own through this blog & an Instagram feed so you can get real-time updates on what happens behind the scenes.

We will attempt to grow all of the food required to get us from now until next spring. We will also can it, pickle it or otherwise store it so that we can have vegetables through the winter.

We will, without a doubt, face some failures but also some great lessons along the way. So I wanted to write you this letter personally to invite you to follow us on our Instagram feed
@thenomadichomestead where we will share everything we learn along the way.

Big Love,

Melanie
